Rachel: Oh, oh my God! I can practically hear the mahjong tiles!	レイチェル：もういや！　そんなのマジシャンの名前じゃん！
Dr. Long: Okay! All your tests look fine. Now, are you two interested in knowing the sex of the baby?	ロング先生：さてと。テストの結果は順調だね。赤ちゃんの性別に興味あります？

Rachel: Hey.	レイチェル：おす。
Ross: Hey.	ロス：おす。
Rachel: You know what? I've been thinking about it. I'm really coming around on the name Ruth. I think I would actually consider naming our child that.	レイチェル：あのさ、ちょっと考えてみたんだけどさ。ルースって名前そんなに悪くないかもね。考えてみてもいいかもね。
Ross: Rach, I-I can't tell you how-how much that means to me! Ohh… Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You-you hated the name Ruth! Why-why would you change your mind? Unless, you know we're never going to have to use it. You did see the folder. You know it's a boy!	ロス：レイチェル。ほんとに嬉しいよ！　ありがと…、ん、待てよ。ルースって名前あんなに嫌ってたのに。なんで突然考えを変えたんだ？　ってことはその名前を採用することはありえないと知ってるのか？　やっぱあのファイル見たんだ。男の子だって知ってるんだろ！
Rachel: I didn't see anything! I actually changed my mind about the name.	レイチェル：見てないって！　私はただ考え方変えただけよ。
Ross: I don't think so! You're just giving me Ruth so you'll get to name it when it's a boy, and that's when you'll swoop in and name him Heath or Blaine or Sequoia.	ロス：それはどうかな！　僕に女の子の名前を譲って、自分で男の子の名前を決める気だろ！　ヒースとかブレインとかセコヤとかにね！
Rachel: I would, Sequoia?	レイチェル：そんなこと…　セコヤ？
Ross: Veto.	ロス：否決。
Rachel: Fine.	レイチェル：はいはい。
Ross: Unless… (Rachel groans.) You anticipated that I would figure all this out and you know that it actually is a girl, and you really do want her to be named Ruth! Well, I'm not falling for that! Okay? Ruth is off the table!	ロス：ん、待てよ…　（レイチェルはもういやという感じ）　僕がこう言うことを読んでいて、実は女の子だと知ってるのかな。で、本当にルースと名づけたいんだな！　その手には乗らないぞ！　ルースはリストからはずすからな！
Rachel: But Ross, you want the name Ruth!	レイチェル：でも、ロス。ルースって名前にしたいんでしょ。
Ross: Not like this!	ロス：こんなやり方じゃいやだ！
[Scene: Rachel and Joey's, Joey is sitting on his recliner as Phoebe enters.]	[レイチェルとジョーイのアパート。ジョーイがリラックスチェアに座っており、フィービーが入室。]
Phoebe: Hey.	フィービー：おす。
Joey: Hey. Well, what's up?	ジョーイ：あ、どうしたの？
Phoebe: Umm, Joey, I know.	フィービー：ジョーイ、私知ってるの。
Joey: What?	ジョーイ：何を？
Phoebe: I knooow.	フィービー：知ってるのー。
Joey: Whaaat?	ジョーイ：なーにを？
Phoebe: I know about your feelings.	フィービー：あなたの気持ちよ。
Joey: Oh my God. You do?	ジョーイ：まじで、ばれたのか？
Phoebe: Yes, and I'm sorry. I-I know things worked out for Chandler and Monica, but that's very rare.	フィービー：うん。ごめんなさい。チャンドラーとモニカはうまくいったけど、あれほどうまくいくのはなかなかないわよ。
Joey: I know. I know. And this is so much more complicated than it was for those guys. I mean, it's Rachel for God sakes.	ジョーイ：分かってるよ。それにあいつらの状況よりずっと複雑なんだ。だって、あのレイチェルなんだぜ！
Phoebe: For God sakes, it's Rachel!	フィービー：あのレイチェル！
Joey: I know. I know. And she's not only my friend; she's my pregnant friend! She's my pregnant friend who's Ross' ex!	ジョーイ：あぁ、分かってるよ。ただの俺の友達じゃないんだ。妊娠した友達なんだよ！　しかもロスの元彼女じゃないか！
Phoebe: Yeah that's Rachel. (To herself) Beat me over the head with it.	フィービー：うん、そりゃレイチェルよねぇ。　（独り言）　私のプライドずたずたね。
Joey: What am I going to do? You know, and I keep, I keep trying to get rid of these feelings, y'know? I stayed up all last night and made a list of everything I don't like about her. You want to hear it?	ジョーイ：どうしたらいいと思う？　この気持ち忘れようとしてるんだけどさ。もう昨日も寝れなかったから、レイチェルの欠点のリストを書いてたんだ。聞きたいか？
Phoebe: Yeah.	フィービー：あぁ。
Joey: She made me switch to light Mayo. That's it! That's all I got! And, you know what? It tastes the same and my pants fit better!	ジョーイ：ダイエットマヨネーズに変えやがった。それだけだ！　これしか思いつかないんだよ！　同じ味で、身体にもいいんだぞ！
Phoebe: Joey, I just think you're getting worked up over nothing. This is probably just a crush.	フィービー：ジョーイ。別に何でもないのかもしれないわ。ただの一時的な恋かもよ。
Joey: You think?	ジョーイ：そう思う？
Phoebe: Absolutely! Y'know, you get this rush of feelings, but then it goes away.	フィービー：もちろんよ！　よくあることよ。でもすぐそんなの消えちゃうわ。
Joey: Yeah, just a crush! That's all this is! It's a crush! I'm Joey; I don't get deep feelings.	ジョーイ：あぁ。一時的なもんだよ！　それだけだ！　一時的！　俺はジョーイだもんな。深い恋なんてしないんだ。
Phoebe: That's right, there you go! Crushes happen all the time! I know I've had them for all you guys. Well, except for Ross and Chandler. And I'm sure you've had them for us.	フィービー：その通りよ。ほらね！　一時的な恋ってよくあるのよ！　私だって、あなたたちに一回はそういう気持ちになったことあるわ。まぁロスとチャンドラー以外だけど。あなたもそうでしょ？
Joey: Not really.	ジョーイ：いや別に。
Phoebe: Mm-hmm. (To herself) Throw me a bone here.	フィービー：あっそ。　（独り言）　もうプライド消えちゃったわ。
[Scene: Central Perk, Rachel is on the couch as Ross enters.]	[セントラルパーク。レイチェルがソファーに座っており、ロスが入店。]
Ross: So, I uh… I called the doctor and now we both know the sex of the baby.	ロス：医者に電話して、赤ちゃんの性別聞いてきたぞ。
Rachel: What?	レイチェル：え？
Ross: That's right. The student has become the master.	ロス：その通りだ。学生はマスターになったのだ！
Rachel: Ross, I swear, I don't know.	レイチェル：ロス、誓って知らないって。
Ross: Oh, come on, you know it's a girl!	ロス：とぼけても無駄だよ。女の子だって知ってるんだ！
Rachel: A what?!	レイチェル：え？！
Ross: You really didn't know?	ロス：もしかしてほんとに知らなかったの？
Rachel: We're having a girl?	レイチェル：女の子なの？
Ross: No.	ロス：いや。
Rachel: That's what you just said!	レイチェル：そう言ったじゃん！
Ross: No.	ロス：いや。
Rachel: You said girl!	レイチェル：女の子だって言ったじゃん！
Ross: Yes. I'm… I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.	ロス：あぁ。ごめん…。ほんとにごめん。
Rachel: I'm not! We're having a girl! Sometimes I can't believe it's with you, But still! We're having a girl!	レイチェル：謝ることないわよ！　やったぁ！　女の子よ！　あんたのことはどうかと思うけど、でも！　やったぁ、女の子よ！
Ross: I know! I know. You know what? I'm putting Ruth back on the table!	ロス：あぁ！　あのさ、ルースをまた考えてみよう！
Rachel: Oh, yes! We'll have ourselves a little baby Ruth…	レイチェル：うん！　私たちのルースちゃん…
Ross: Permission to veto.	ロス：否決してもいいよ。
Rachel: Yes, please.	レイチェル：うん、お願い。
[Scene: Monica and Chandler's, Chandler enters as Monica comes from the bathroom.]	[モニカとチャンドラーのアパート。チャンドラーが入室。モニカが風呂から出てくる。]
Monica: Hey.	モニカ：おかえり。
Chandler: Do I smell essential oils?	チャンドラー：いいオイルの匂いだ。
Monica: Yeah, I'm going to take a bath. I'm just going to get a magazine.	モニカ：うん。今からお風呂に入るの。ちょっと雑誌取ってくるわ。
Chandler: Okay.	チャンドラー：あぁ。
(As soon as Monica leaves the room, Chandler takes off his jacket and runs to the bathroom. Monica enters the bathroom to find Chandler in the bathtub.)	モニカが部屋を去ると、チャンドラーはジャケットを脱ぎ、風呂へと駆け込む。モニカは風呂に入ると、チャンドラーが風呂につかっている。
Monica: What do you think you're doing?	モニカ：何やってるのよ？
Chandler: L-leaving my troubles behind?	チャンドラー：何もかも忘れてるんだ。
Monica: I know that you're new at this, but this is completely unacceptable bath decorum.	モニカ：あんた新入りだからね。これはお風呂のしきたりに反するわ。
Chandler: Oh, it's so hard to care when you're this relaxed.	チャンドラー：もうこうリラックスするとどうでもよくなるなぁ。
Monica: Fine, you can have the bath, but I am taking your boat. Now you're just a girl in a tub!	モニカ：じゃあ風呂入ってなさいよ。でも船は没収よ。これだあんたは女の子ね！
(Phoebe enters the bathroom)	フィービーが風呂に入ってくる。
Chandler: (upset) Hey!	チャンドラー：（怒る）　おい！
Phoebe: Hi, Bubbles. Manly. Well, I just thought I would drop by and let you know how it went with Joey.	フィービー：あら、バブルくん。男っぽいわね。ちょっとジョーイの件を報告に来たのよ。
Chandler: (To Monica) You told her?!	チャンドラー：（モニカに）　お前言ったのか！？
Monica: She pulled it out of me! She's like a conversational wizard! How'd it go?	モニカ：誘導尋問されたのよ！　フィービーって尋問の魔女なのよ！　で、どうだった？
Phoebe: Well, you were wrong, he doesn't like me!	フィービー：あんた間違ってたわよ。ジョーイが好きなのは私じゃないわ！
Monica: What?	モニカ：え？
Phoebe: Yeah! How would you like it if I sent you to Lee Majors' house and told you that he liked you, and you went down there and you found out that he didn't like you? How would you feel?	フィービー：そうよ！　私があんたをリー・メジャースの家に送って、リーがあんたに気があるって言って、あんたが家に言ったら、リーが全然あんたに気がないって分かったら、傷つくでしょ！？
Monica: (Pause) I don't think I'd care.	モニカ：（間）　いや、別に。
Phoebe: Really? Lee Majors is hot!	フィービー：ほんとに？　リー・メジャースってホットじゃん！
Joey: (from outside the bathroom) Hello?	ジョーイ：（風呂の外）　おーい。
Phoebe: We're in the bathroom!	フィービー：風呂の中よ！
Joey: Why?	ジョーイ：何で？
Chandler: (sarcastically) Because it's a relaxing and enjoyable time!	チャンドラー：（皮肉）　だって、リラックスして楽しいんだもん！
Joey: (entering the bathroom) What are you guys doing in here?	ジョーイ：（風呂に入る）　何してるんだよ？
Monica: Oh my God! A friend he's looking at differently, but it's wrong. It's Rachel!	モニカ：まさか！　友達を違う風に見る。でもそれは間違っている。まさかレイチェル！
Chandler: You like Rachel?!	チャンドラー：お前レイチェルが好きなのか！？
Joey: It's no big deal, okay? Phoebe and I talked about it. It's just a crush! It's going to go away! (Looks down) Dude, you gotta rearrange your bubbles! Oh!	ジョーイ：たいしたことないよ。フィービーと話したら、ただの一時的な恋だったんだ！　すぐ消えるさ！　（したを見る）　おい、泡で隠せって！
Phoebe: (checking for herself) (To Monica) Mazel tov.	フィービー：（確認）　（モニカに）　あら、いいわねぇ。
Rachel: (entering) Hey! Ross and I were looking for you! What are we all doing in here? (Looks at Chandler) Oh, my! (Covers the spot where Joey wants bubbles to be replaced.)	レイチェル：（入ってくる）　あら、ずっと探してたのよ！　何してるの？　（チャンドラーを見る）　あら、ヤだ！　（ある場所を隠す）
Monica: Honey, cover it up with the boat!	モニカ：ハニー、船で隠しなさい！
Ross: (from outside the bathroom) Hello?	ロス：（風呂の外から）　おーい。
Chandler: (sarcastically) Yes we're all in here and we would love for you to join us!	チャンドラー：（皮肉）　みんな風呂にいるんだよ。お前も来い！
Ross: (entering) Well hey! What's going on? Ooh, cool boat (Sees why the boat's there) Oh, no. (Averts his eyes by looking around the room) (To Rachel) Hey, did you, did you tell them?	ロス：（入室）　おっす！　何してるの？　お、いい船だね。　（ボートの周辺を見る）　うわ！　（目をそむける）　（レイチェルに）　で、もう言った？
Rachel: No, I was waiting for you!	レイチェル：まだよ。ロスを待ってたの！
Phoebe: Tell us what?	フィービー：何？
Rachel: We're having a girl.	レイチェル：私たちの赤ちゃん女の子なの。
All: Oh, wow! Yay! Wow! Hooray! Oh, man!	みんな：うわぁ！　イエーイ！　やったね！
(They all hug and then turn and look at Chandler)	みんなハグ。その後チャンドラーを見る。
Chandler: I'll…I'll get you later!	チャンドラー：俺も後で加わるよ！
[Scene: Joey and Rachel's, Joey is sitting at the counter eating Cocoa Puffs.]	[ジョーイとレイチェルのアパート。ジョーイがココアパフを食べている。]
Joey: (thinking) All right. It's a new day, and it's just a crush, that's all! Just a little crush! All that worrying I was doing, that was crazy. Crazy! Like my friend here the bird would say, "it was cuckoo!" Everything's going to be fine. It's just a crush.	ジョーイ：（心の中）　さぁ、新しい一日の始まりだ。ただの一時的な恋さ。それだけの話！　なんてことはないよ！　そんなこと心配してたなんてクレイジーだね。俺の友達の鳥くんならこー言うね、"そりゃークックーだ！"ってね。ぜーんぜん大丈夫。一時的なものさ。
Rachel: (entering) Hi, sweetie.	レイチェル：（入室）　おはよう、ジョーイ。
Joey: (thinking) I love you.	ジョーイ：（心の中）　愛してるよ。
