Rachel: (talking with a higher voice, and puckered lips…kind of like you do to a baby or...well…a puppy…it's hard to explain. Just use your imagination!) Oh, well, you are so cute! I wish I could play with you more, but I've got to go to work! I hope I stop talking like this before my marketing meeting, yes I do. Yes I do. (still talking like that) Bye-bye, Joey. (Ross fake laughs, obviously not finding this funny, and he's starting to panic, so he shoves the whole saltwater taffy he's eating in his mouth)	ロスは偽の笑いをする。塩水タフィーを口の中に入れる。
Mona: So, what'd you tell him?	モナ：で、ジョーイに何て言ったの？
Ross: (with his mouth full) Just a second! (he fake laughs, but turns his head and starts to break down)	ロス：（口の中がまだ一杯）　ちょっと待って。　（偽の笑いをする。向こうを向き、困った顔をする。）

Rachel: Oh, I've got big Valentine's plans! I've got my Chinese food on the way, and the rest of your saltwater taffy!	レイチェル：うん。バレンタインだもんねぇ、ちゃんと計画あるわよ！　中華料理頼んだし、あとあんたの塩水タフィーもあるし！
Ross: Y'know, it's interesting! Most people think that's made with seawater, when in fact?	ロス：そうそう面白い話があってね！　みんなそれは海水で出来てると勘違いするんだけど…
Rachel: Ross, we actually watched the documentary together.	レイチェル：ロス、それならあんたとドキュメント番組で見たわ。
(There is a knock on the door.)	ノック音
Rachel: Ooh! My Chinese food! Let me get my cash! (runs to her room to get her money)	レイチェル：あ、私の中華料理！　ちょっとお金取ってくるわ！　（部屋へ金を取りに行く）
Ross: (opening the door to see Mona standing there) Mona? What are... hi! What are you doing here? I'm, um, supposed to pick you up!	ロス：（ドアを開けるとモナが立っている）　モナ？　君…　やぁ！　何してるの？　僕が迎えに行くんだと思ったんだけど！
Mona: Change of plans, I made you a special Valentine's dinner! Surprise!	モナ：計画変更よ。あなたのためにスペシャルバレンタインズディナー作ったわ！　サプラーイズ！
Ross: (he makes some really weird noise hear that sounds kind of like…)Ayyyayyyy!	ロス：（変な音を出す）　いやったぁーーー！
Rachel: (entering) Oh, hey, Mona!	レイチェル：（出てくる）　あ、モナ。どうも！
Mona: Hi! Hi. Hi, Rachel! (to Ross) What's she doing here?	モナ：あ、ど、どうも、レイチェル。　（ロスに）　レイチェル何してるの？
Ross: I have no idea!	ロス：さぁ、まったく分からないよ！
Rachel: I'll be watching TV if anybody needs me. (exits to her room)	レイチェル：あ、私テレビ見てるからね。　（自分の部屋へと入っていく）
Mona: Seriously, what is she doing?	モナ：ほんとに、何してるの？
Ross: Uh…lately, she just likes hanging out here.	ロス：あ…、最近、何かレイチェルよくここにくるんだよ。
Mona: Why?	モナ：何でよ？
Ross: I think she's lonely.	ロス：きっと独りが嫌なんだよ。
Mona: Okay, but it's Valentine's Day!	モナ：うん。でもバレンタインズデイなのよ！
Ross: I know.	ロス：うん。
Mona: Can't we just ask her to go?	モナ：帰ってもらうように頼んでくれない？
Ross: No, no. She's way to emotional. And by emotional I mean crazy.	ロス：だめだめ。今はめちゃめちゃ感情的なんだｋら。つまりクレイジーってこと。
(Doorbell rings)	ピンポンが鳴る。
Rachel: I'm not here! That's just my Chinese food!	レイチェル：あ、大丈夫！　私の中華料理だから！
Mona: Oh, my God! She has food delivered here?	モナ：え！　出前まで頼んでるの？
Ross: Mm-hmm. She's, she's emotional, but, but ballsy.	ロス：あぁ、感情的だけど、度胸があるんだ。
Rachel: You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to get in my sweats, and eat this in bed! (exits)	レイチェル：私のプラン聞きたい？　スウェットに着替えて、ベットでこれ食べるのよ！　（出て行く）
Ross: And you thought she was going to be in our way! So, why don't you, uh, open the champagne, and I'll be right back. I've got a surprise for you.	ロス：レイチェルが僕らの邪魔するなんてないよ！　じゃ、シャンペーンでも飲んでてね。すぐもどるから、君にプレゼントがあるんだ。
Mona: You got another ex-wife back there?	モナ：他にも元妻がここにいるの？
Ross: (fakes a laugh) Please start drinking! (exits)	ロス：（偽笑い）　お願いだから飲んでね！　（出て行く）
Rachel: (entering) I'm just going to grab the phone.	レイチェル：（入室）　あ、ただ電話を取りに来ただけ。
Mona: Oh, Rachel! Wait! Hey, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but, but, um… what are you doing?	モナ：あ、レイチェル！　待って！　悪く受け取らないでほしんだけど…、何してるの？
Rachel: Oh, I'm sorry! Do you need the phone?	レイチェル：あ、ごめんなさい！　電話かける？
Mona: No, no. Listen, Ross is too nice to say anything, but this is his apartment, and, and, we gotta have some boundaries, so why don't you go back to your place and give us some privacy?	モナ：違う、違うの。ロスは優しくて何も言わないけど、ここは彼のアパートなのよ。物には境界っていうものがあるのよ。だから、自分のうちに帰って、私たち2人にしてくれない？
Rachel: (as Ross enters with a present) But, but, Mona, I live here.	レイチェル：（ロスがプレゼントを持って出てくる）　でも、モナ。私ここに住んでるんだけど。
Ross: (handing Mona the present) Happy Valentine's Day! …Or something to remember me by.	ロス：（モナにプレゼントを渡す）　バレンタインズデイおめでとう！　…、まぁたまにはこれを見て僕を思い出してね。
[Scene: Monica and Chandler's. Monica and Chandler are sitting on the couch still staring at the screen.]	[モニカとチャンドラーのアパート。モニカとチャンドラーはソファーに座って、画面を見つめている。]
Monica: How long has it been this time?	モニカ：どのぐらいたった？
Chandler: 90 seconds.	チャンドラー：90秒。
Monica: That's better. 90 seconds is a long time not to think about it…except all I did was think about it.	モニカ：ましになったわ。90秒あのこと考えないでいられたわ…、もう考えまくっちゃったけど。
Chandler: You know, it haunts me? Up ‘til now, the worst thing I ever saw, was my father doing tequila shots off the naked houseboy. After this, I would gladly make that my screensaver!	チャンドラー：もう俺にとりついちゃったよ。今まで最悪の光景は、父さんが裸のボーイとテキーラ飲みまくりやってた光景だったけど。もうこんなもの見たら、父さんたちの光景のスクリーンセーバー作っちゃうよ！
Monica: Okay, well, we have to get past this! Why don't we get rid of the tape and pretend it never existed?	モニカ：だめよ、私たちこれを乗り越えなきゃ！　テープを処分して、なかったふりしようよ。
Chandler: I can do that.	チャンドラー：あぁ、そうだな。
Monica: Okay. (Chandler takes the tape and sticks it under the chair cushion)	モニカ：うん。　（チャンドラーはテープを取り、いすのクッションの下に入れる。）
Chandler: Okay. Now all we've got to do is get rid of this chair.	チャンドラー：よし。あとはこのいすを処分するだけだ。
(Chandler crawls over to Monica and they move in to kiss, but they can't do it and back up. They move in to kiss again, and kiss very awkwardly for a second, until someone knocks on the door.)	チャンドラーはモニカへと寄り添いキスをしようとする。しかし出来ずに身を引く。2人はまたキスをしようとするが、変なキスになる。そのときノック音が。
Monica: Oh, thank God!	モニカ：あ、よかった！
Chandler: Oh, I know!	チャンドラー：あぁ！
Monica: Come in!	モニカ：入って！
Rachel: (entering) Hi! I'm so sorry to barge in on your Valentine's, but I had to get away from all the yelling. Mona is dumping Ross.	レイチェル：（入室）　バレンタインズデイなのにゴメンね。でももう耐えられなくなっちゃって。モナがロスをふってるの。
Monica: Oh, my God.	モニカ：そんな。
Chandler: Poor Ross.	チャンドラー：かわいそうに。
(Monica and Chandler both look at each other and run over to the window to watch the action in Ross' apartment)	モニカとチャンドラーはお互いを見て、ロスのアパートをのぞこうとする。
Chandler: Oh, great. We have to watch him do yoga in his underwear, but for this he closes the drapes!	チャンドラー：やれやれだぜ。下着でヨガを見たってのに、今度はカーテンが閉まってら！
Monica: Rach, you know that birthing tape you wanted to see? It's here.	モニカ：レイチェル。あなたが見たがってた出産テープがあるんだけど。
Chandler: Oh, and we should warn you, before you watch it: don't watch it.	チャンドラー：あぁ、見る前に警告しておく。見るな。
Rachel: Why? You saw it? Is it scary?	レイチェル：何で？　見たの？　怖かった？
Chandler: Well, let's just say it's ironic how footage of someone being born can make you want to kill yourself.	チャンドラー：あぁ、そうだな。たった30センチのものが産まれてくるだけで自殺したくなるとは皮肉なもんだ。
Rachel: Well, now, wait. Now I'm all freaked out. Come on, you guys will watch it with me.	レイチェル：ちょっと、怖がらせないでよ。私と一緒に見てよ。
Monica: No, but I will leave a sweater that smells like me right next to you!	モニカ：うーん、私の匂いがするセーターをおいといてあげるわ！
Rachel: C'mon, seriously, you guys, you're not going to make me watch this alone!	レイチェル：ねぇ、ほんとに、私に一人で見させる気？
Monica: She's right…of course not. Honey, get the tape.	モニカ：そうね…、そんなことしないわ。ハニー、テープ取って。
Chandler: (with his arm all the way under the cushion, moving it around) This reminds me of a very specific part of the tape. (Chandler puts the tape in, and they all sit down) Okay, here we go.	チャンドラー：（クッションの下に手を突っ込んで）　そう言えばこんな場面もあったな。　（テープを入れ、みんな座る）　さてと。
Rachel: Okay. (watching the tape) Ooh, my! (Rachel jumps when the woman starts screaming) Woah! Why is that baby torturing that woman?!	レイチェル：行くわよ。　（テープを見始める）　何これ！　（レイチェルは女が叫びだすとびっくりして飛び上がるような勢い）　うわ！　何でこの赤ちゃんこの人いじめてるのよ！？
Chandler: Why have I seen this thing three times?!	チャンドラー：何で俺は3回もこんなもん見てるんだ！？
Monica: It's…still beautiful.	モニカ：でも…、美しい光景よ。
Rachel: Uh! It's horrible!	レイチェル：どこが！　最悪よ！
Monica: I know! I know, I'm so sorry for you!	モニカ：そうよ！　レイチェル頑張ってね！
Rachel: Oh, my God!	レイチェル：もういや！
(Monica and Rachel both cover their eyes)	モニカとレイチェルは目を覆う。
Chandler: Wait, you guys, look!	チャンドラー：2人とも待て。見てみろよ！
Rachel: What? Did her ass explode?!	レイチェル：え？　ケツが爆発した！？
Chandler: No, the baby's out! Look, look!	チャンドラー：違うよ。赤ちゃんが出てきたんだよ。ほら、見てよ！
Monica: Oh, look at those little fingers and toes!	モニカ：あら、ちっちゃな指ねぇ。
Chandler: And look how happy the mom is now!	チャンドラー：ほら、母親だって幸せそうじゃないか！
Monica: Oh…Rach!	モニカ：あら、レイチェル…
Rachel: Oh, screw you guys, you don't have to do it!	レイチェル：あんたたちはいいわよね、こんなことしなくていいんだから！
[Scene: Central Perk. Ross is getting coffee as Joey comes from…God knows where! Some back area of Central Perk around the corner that we've never seen! Weeeiiirrrddd….]	[セントラルパーク。ロスはコーヒーを買っている。ジョーイがどっかから出てくる。]
Ross: Hey, hey, man!	ロス：お、おっす！
Joey: Hey, what's up?	ジョーイ：おす、どうした？
Ross: Uh…Mona just dumped me.	ロス：あぁ…、モナにふられたよ。
Joey: Oh, man, I'm sorry. Why?	ジョーイ：そうか、残念だな。どうしたんだ？
Ross: Well, with everything that's been going on lately, I haven't exactly been the perfect boyfriend. You know, I, uh, I didn't tell her I got Rachel pregnant. I gave her a key to my apartment, and then had the locks changed! And then I lied to her about Rachel moving in with me. In a way, I actually judge her for not breaking up with me sooner, you know?	ロス：そうねぇ、最近の僕の行動。いい彼氏じゃなかったね。レイチェルを妊娠させたって言わなかったし、カギをあげたのに、カギ変えたし！　それにレイチェルが引っ越すことに関してうそ言ったし。モナはもっと早く僕と別れるべきだったね。
Joey: Still, that really sucks, man. Especially on Valentine's Day.	ジョーイ：まぁ、でもあまりいいことじゃないよな。バレンタインだってのにさ。
Ross: Yeah. Wait a minute. What are you doing here? Joey Tribbiani without a date on Valentine's Day? What's going on, huh? Girl trouble?	ロス：あぁ。ん、待てよ。そっちこそ何してるんだよ？　ジョーイ・トリビアーニがバレンタインズデイに一人？　どうしたんだい？　女性のことでお悩みかな？
Joey: Sort of.	ジョーイ：まぁな。
Ross: Really?!	ロス：ほんとに！？
Joey: You don't have to seem so happy about it.	ジョーイ：そんな嬉しそうな顔するなよ。
Ross: Oh, sorry. Well, look, maybe I can help you with it.	ロス：あ、ごめんよ。僕に相談してみなよ。何か協力できるかもよ。 ※：そう言えば、ロスはジョーイが女性関係で悩んだら相談に乗ると前に言ってましたね。
Joey: Oh, I…I d?	ジョーイ：え…、でも…
Ross: Hey, whatever it is, I am sure it has happened to me. Y'know, actually once, once I got dumped during sex.	ロス：おい、どんな悩みか知らないが、僕はいろんな悩みを抱えてきたんだから。セックス中にふられたことだってあるんだよ。
(Two girls sitting at a table next to them look up in disgust, and Ross and Joey move away)	横にいた2人の女がロスとジョーイを変な目で見たため、少し移動。
Ross: Anyway, so, uh, so what is it?	ロス：まぁ、とにかく。どうしたんだ？
Joey: Forget about it. It's no big deal.	ジョーイ：気にするな。たいしたことじゃない。
Ross: C'mon! Joey! What is it?	ロス：ジョーイ！　どうしたんだよ？
Joey: It's nothing.	ジョーイ：別になんでもないって。
Ross: Hey, hey, it's me. Why can't you tell me?	ロス：おいおい、僕だぞ。何で僕に言えなんだよ？
Joey: Okay, uh…sit down. (they do) Um… there's this woman that I like. A lot. But, uh…it can't happen.	ジョーイ：わかった…。座れよ。　（2人は座る）　その…、好きな女がいるんだ。ほんとに大好きなんだ…、でも俺らは絶対に結ばれないんだ…
Ross: She's not a Tribbiani?	ロス：トリビアーニ家の人なの？
Joey: No!	ジョーイ：違うよ！
Ross: I knew it. So, is she someone from work?	ロス：分かってるよ。じゃあ、職場の同僚か？
Joey: Yes.	ジョーイ：あぁ。
Ross: Well, uh, does she like you?	ロス：で、向こうはお前のこと好きなのか？
Joey: Sometimes I think maybe she could. But it doesn't matter, because I can't do anything about it.	ジョーイ：ときどきそうかもと思うこともある。でもそんなのは関係ないんだ。俺には何もできないんだから。
Ross: Why not?	ロス：何でだよ？
Joey: Well, it's complicated. She's with this other guy. For a long time. Someone from work, too. And I could never do that to the guy, because we're really good friends.	ジョーイ：複雑なんだよ。彼女には他の男がいるんだ。長い間付き合ってたんだ。そいつも職場の同僚な。俺とは親友なんだよ。だから…、そんなことできないんだ。
Ross: So, uh, this guy, she used to go out with, is, uh… is he still in love with her?	ロス：で、その男、前付き合っていた男…、そいつはまだ彼女を愛してるのか？
Joey: No. I don't think so.	ジョーイ：いや、そうは思わない。
Ross: Okay. Um… is he a good guy?	ロス：そうか。で…、そいつはいいやつなのか？
Joey: Yeah, he's the best.	ジョーイ：あぁ。最高のやつだ。
Ross: Then talk to him! He might be fine with it.	ロス：じゃあ、そいつに話してみろよ！　もしかしたらいいって言うかもよ。
Joey: Oh, I don't know.	ジョーイ：分からないよ。
Ross: Joey, it's worth finding out. I mean, if you really like her.	ロス：ジョーイ、やってみる価値はあるって。そんなにその人のこと好きならさ。
Joey: I do! So much! I can't stop thinking about her! I can't sleep, I?	ジョーイ：好きだよ！　大好きなんだよ！　もう彼女のことが頭から離れないんだ！　もう眠れないし…
Ross: Okay, Joey, you know what? You have to go for it. How often does this happen to you, huh? You owe it to yourself.	ロス：分かった。ジョーイ。やってみろよ。そんな気持ちになるのっていつ以来だ？　自分の気持ちに従えよ。
Gunther: (placing a cup in front of Ross) Here's your warm milk.	ガンター：（カップをロスの前に置く）　あったかいミルクだ。
Ross: I'm going to…uh…I'm going to, um, put the bourbon in it at home.	ロス：その、まぁ、バーボンに入れるんだよ。
Joey: Oh, yeah.	ジョーイ：あぁ。
Ross: Anyway… seriously, uh…just…just talk to the guy, okay? And tell me how it goes. (walks towards the door until…)	ロス：まぁ、とにかくさ。まじで、そいつと話してみなって。僕に結果教えてよ。　（ドアへと歩き出す…）
Joey: It's Rachel.	ジョーイ：レイチェルなんだ。

Rachel: (thinking) You're going to have a baby, and you need to be prepared. Now, you're going to make yourself watch the whole thing. Just do it! (Rachel puts the tape in the VCR)	レイチェル：（心の中）　あなたは赤ちゃんを産むんだから、準備するのよ。ちゃんとテープをみるのよ。見るのよ！　（レイチェルはテープをデッキに入れる）
Woman on TV: I came to the big city to become a star! I'll do…anything to make that happen!	テレビの女：スターになりたくて、ニューヨークに来たの。スターになるためなら…、何でもするわ！
Man on TV: Anything?	テレビの男：何でも？
(Music starts playing…yes…you know what kind of music…)	音楽が流れ始める。AVっぽい音楽である。
Rachel: (thinking) Hmm…maybe it starts with how she gets pregnant.	レイチェル：（心の中）　へぇ、きっと何で妊娠したかから始まるのね。
