[Scene: The Recovery Room, Rachel is putting Emma down for a nap.]	[妊婦用病室。レイチェルがエマを寝かしつけている。]
Janice: (entering) Yoo-hoo! Aaron Litman-Neurolic would like to say hello to his future bride.	ジャニス：（入室）　こんにちはー！　アーロン・リットマン-ニュローリック君が未来の花嫁に挨拶に来たわよ。
Rachel: Ohhh! (Looks at Aaron and recoils in horror.) Wow! He kinda takes your breath away doesn't he?	レイチェル：あらぁ。　（アーロンを見てびっくり）　うわぁ！　何かびっくりする顔よね。
Janice: He's a keeper. How are you feeling?	ジャニス：私たちの子よ。気分はどう？
Rachel: Oh, I'm fine. (Gasps in pain as she sits down.)	レイチェル：大丈夫よ。　（座るとちょっと痛い）
Janice: Can I just say, I really admire what you're doing. Just raising her all alone.	ジャニス：あなたはほんとにすごいと思う。一人で赤ちゃんを育てるなんて。
Rachel: Oh, I'm not doing it alone. I have Ross.	レイチェル：一人じゃないわよ。ロスがいるもん。
Janice: Oh, sure. Now. But what happens when he meets somebody else and gets married?	ジャニス：うん。今はね。でもロスが誰かと会って結婚したらどうするのよ？
Rachel: Well then he gets a divorce, it's Ross!	レイチェル：じゃあ離婚よ。だってロスだもん！
Janice: I'm telling you Rachel, listen to Janice. They all say they're gonna be there until they start their real family.	ジャニス：レイチェル。ジャニスの言うことを聞いて。男ってのはみんな一緒にいるって言うものなのよ。でも本物の家族が出来たら…
Rachel: Well I, That's never gonna happen with Ross.	レイチェル：でも、ロスはそんなことないわよ。
Janice: Oh well that's what I thought about my first husband, now I'm lucky if my kid gets to spend the weekend with her father and the twins and little Ms. New Boobs.	ジャニス：私も最初の夫の時はそう思ったわ。でも今はたまーに週末に面倒見てくれるだけよ、Ms. ニューブーブ（おっぱい）さんと一緒にね。
Rachel: Really?	レイチェル：そうなの？
Janice: I hate to be the one to say it, but honey you two (Her and Emma) are on your own.	ジャニス：こういうこと言うのは嫌だけど、あなたたち　（レイチェルとエマ）　だけなのよ。
Rachel: Well… That's…y'know. That's, We've been alone for the last twenty minutes we're doing okay. Besides y'know what? I-I, Maybe we won't be alone, ‘cause lately I-I, things have been happening between me and Ross, y'know? Right before I went into labor, we-we had this kiss. Y'know? So it might be the…the beginning of something.	レイチェル：でも…、でもさ…、20分2人っきりだったけど大丈夫だったわ。それに私たちは2人っきりにならないと思うの。最近ロスと何かいい感じなのよ。出産の前に私たちキスしたし。きっと…、何かの始まりだと思う。
Ross: (entering) Hey Janice!	ロス：（入ってくる）　おす、ジャニス！
Janice: Oh hi!	ジャニス：あら、ロス！
Ross: Who's this little guy? (Gasps when he sees Aaron.)	ロス：お、この子はだれかなぁ？　（アーロンを見て息をのむ）
Janice: Say hello to Aaron, your future son-in-law.	ジャニス：アーロン君よ。あなたの未来の義理の息子よぉ。
Ross: No-no. No.	ロス：いやいや。
Janice: I'm gonna leave the three of you alone.	ジャニス：じゃ、私は行くわね。
Ross: Okay.	ロス：うん。
Janice: Bye. (Exits.)	ジャニス：じゃあね。　（出る）
Ross: Man! Did you see the kid on that nose?	ロス：うわ！　あの鼻見た？
Rachel: Uh-huh. (Ross takes off his coat and sets in on a chair.) Y'know what I was, I was thinking about?	レイチェル：うん。　（ロスはコートを脱ぎ、いすにかける）　あのさ、ちょっと考えてたんだけど。
Ross: Huh?	ロス：ん？
Rachel: Umm…that kiss before we left the apartment. That was some-something huh?	レイチェル：あの…、アパートを出るときのキス。けっこうよかったよね。
Ross: Yeah. Yeah, it really was. But we…we gotta be careful. We…we can't let that happen again, y'know?	ロス：あぁ。そうだな。ほんとにね。でも…、気をつけないとね。また、こういうことになっちゃまずいだろ。
Rachel: (pause) Right.	レイチェル：（間）　そうね。
Ross: I mean we don't want to go down that road do we?	ロス：いろいろとごちゃごちゃとしたくはないだろ？
Rachel: No! No, of course not. No. That's why I brought it up. (Pause) They didn't have any sodas?	レイチェル：うん！　そうよね。だから聞いたのよ。　（間）　あれ、ソーダは？
Ross: Oh my God! I'm sorry, I was talking to this nurse, completely forgot.	ロス：あ、ごめん。看護婦と話してたらすっかり忘れちゃった。
Rachel: That's all right. (He goes to get her a soda.) And so it begins.	レイチェル：まぁいいわよ。　（ロスはソーダを買いに行く）　はぁ、やっぱこうなるのね。
[Scene: Outside the Nursery, Ross is looking at Emma as Phoebe walks up.]	[新生児室の外。ロスはエマを見ている。フィービーがやってくる。]
Phoebe: Is she in there?	フィービー：エマもいるの？
Ross: Yeah. She's putting her down now, that's her. (Points to the nurse putting Emma now.)	ロス：あぁ。あの看護婦が抱いてる子さ。　（看護婦を指す）
Phoebe: Oh!	フィービー：あの子ね。
Ross: Look at Emma!	ロス：エマを見ろよ！
Phoebe: I just can't decide who she looks more alike, you or Rachel?	フィービー：うーん、どっち似かわからないわね。ロスかレイチェルか。
Ross: Oh what are you kidding? She's gorgeous, it's all Rachel.	ロス：レイチェルに決まってるだろ。ほんとにかわいいじゃないか。
(Pause)	（間）
Phoebe: I'm sorry, for the last time, why aren't you two together again? (Silence from Ross.) No, I know. I know, because you're not in that place. Which would be fine, except you totally are.	フィービー：ごめん。これで最後にするけど、何でレイチェルと一緒になりたくないの？　（ロスは沈黙）　分かってるわよ。そういう気持ちがないってのは。それはそれでいいの。でもあなたの気持ちそうだとは思わないの。
Ross: It's…it's complicated okay?	ロス：複雑なんだよ…
Phoebe: Yeah that's true. Yeah, you love her. You always have. You have a child together. There is no right answer.	フィービー：確かにそうね。あなたはレイチェルが好き、ずっと昔からね。そして子供を授かった。正しい答えなんて見つかるはずないわよね。
Ross: Look, we've been together. Okay? And then apart, and then together, and then apart, and now we have a baby. (Pause) It's just if-if we got together again and it didn't work out…I could never do that to Emma. I mean she-she thinking everything. (Starts to cry.) Oh that's…now me. What do they put something in the water in this place? Since Rachel and I we're doing really, we're doing really well right now.	ロス：僕らは何回もくっついたんだ。でもそのたびに別れてきた。そこで、子供が産まれた。　（間）　もしまた僕らが関係を持って、また別れたら…、エマにそんなことはしたくないんだ。エマにだって分かるはずさ。　（泣き出す）　今度は僕か…。病院の水に薬でも入ってるのか？　レイチェルと僕は、今ほんとに、ほんとにうまくやってるんだよ。
Phoebe: I know. I know. I know. I know, and if you try to make it more you might wreck it.	フィービー：分かってる。これ以上発展させようとしたら、台無しになるんじゃないかってね。
Ross: Yeah, exactly.	ロス：あぁ、その通りなんだ。
Phoebe: Right. (Pause) Or you might get everything you've wanted since you were fifteen.	フィービー：そうね。　（間）　それとも15歳のときからの夢がかなるかもしれないのよ。
[Scene: The Recovery Room, Rachel is in bed as Joey enters.]	[妊婦用病室。レイチェルがベットにおり、ジョーイが入室。]
Joey: Hey. I just saw a woman breast feeding both of her twins at the same time; it is like a freak show up here. (Notices she's wiping her eyes.) What's the matter?	ジョーイ：おい、双子に両方の胸使ってミルクあげてるの見ちゃったよ。こりゃもうサイコーだったね。　（レイチェルが目をこすってるのに気づく）　どうしたんだ？
Rachel: Nothing.	レイチェル：別に。
Joey: What is it? Hey!	ジョーイ：どうしたんだよ？
Rachel: Really it's nothing. I'm just…	レイチェル：ほんとに何でもないの。ただ…
Joey: Rach come on, what?	ジョーイ：レイチェル、言ってみろよ。
Rachel: I've just been thinking about how my baby and I are gonna be all alone.	レイチェル：私とエマはずっと2人きりなんだろうなって。
Joey: What are you talking about alone? What about Ross?	ジョーイ：何言ってんだよ？　ロスがいるじゃないか。
Rachel: Oh please, he'll be with his real family, the twins and little miss new boobs.	レイチェル：そのうちロスにも家族ができるわよ。双子やニューブーブさんとかね。
Joey: Okay, how long was I watching that woman?	ジョーイ：え、俺ってあの女どんぐらい見てたんだ？
Rachel: I'm just saying that y'know, someday Ross is gonna meet somebody and…he's gonna have his own life. Right?	レイチェル：私が言いたいのはさ…、ロスはいつか誰かと会って…、自分の人生を始めるのよ。そうでしょ？
Joey: Yeah, I guess so.	ジョーイ：あぁ。そうかもな。
Rachel: I just never thought I would raise this baby all by myself. Pretty dumb huh?	レイチェル：あぁ、一人で育てるなんて考えたことなかったわ。私ってバカよね。
Joey: Hey, listen to me, listen to me…you are never ever gonna be alone. Okay? I promise that's not gonna happen.	ジョーイ：おい、大丈夫だって…。君らは絶対に2人っきりになることはないよ。俺が約束する。
Rachel: Joey. Honey what would I do without you?	レイチェル：ジョーイ。あなたまでいなくなったら…
(They hug.)	2人はハグ
Joey: You don't have to worry about that okay?	ジョーイ：心配するな。
(Pause)	（間）
Rachel: Oh, hon can you grab me my other box of tissues? They're right on that chair under Ross's coat.	レイチェル：ティッシュ取ってくれる？　ロスのコートがあるいすにあるはずだから。
Joey: Sure.	ジョーイ：あぁ。
Rachel: Okay.	レイチェル：ありがと。
(He moves Ross's coat to get the tissues and the engagement ring box Mrs. Geller gave him falls out of the pocket it was inside. Joey goes to one knee, picks up the box, opens it, and sees that it's an engagement ring.)	ロスのコートをどかすと、コートのポケットから婚約指輪の箱が落ちてくる。ジョーイは片ひざを付いた状態で、それを拾い、開ける。中には婚約指輪が。
Joey: My God.	ジョーイ：まじかよ。
Rachel: Joey.	レイチェル：ジョーイ。
(He turns to face Rachel on one knee with the box open.)	ジョーイは方ひざを付き、指輪の箱を開けた状態でレイチェルの方を向く。
Rachel: (seeing the ring) Oh my God. (Pause) Okay.	レイチェル：（指輪を見る）　え。　（間）　わかったわ。
(Joey is stunned.)	ジョーイはびっくりして凍りつく。
[Cut to Ross getting of an elevator carrying a bouquet of flowers and walking down the hall to Rachel's room.]	[ロスが花束を持ちながらエレベーターから出てきて、レイチェルの病室へと廊下を歩いていく場面に切り替わる。]
[Fade to black.]	画面は暗くなる。
