Ross: Listen, can you do me a favor? I'm gonna be out today. Can you just keep an eye on Joey, make sure nothing happens between him and Molly?	ロス：あのさ、ちょっと頼まれてくれる？　今日出かけなきゃいけないんだけど、ジョーイを見張っててくれる？　ジョーイがモリーに近づかないように。
Chandler: You don't trust him?	チャンドラー：ジョーイを信じてないの？
Ross: Wh - No. Some woman who sounded a lot like Joey called earlier and asked for her daughter, the "hot nanny".	ロス：え、信じてないよ。ジョーイに声がそっくりの女からさっき電話があって、その人の娘つまり"ホットなベビーシッター"はいないかって聞いてきたんだ。

Ross: You do appear right on the cusp of something. Come on man, I'm sure he'll lose interest in a week or two, but for now can you please just do this for me?	ロス：うわぁ、お前ほんとにバリバリって感じだよね。頼むよ。1, 2週もすればあいつも諦めるって。だから、ちょっとの間だけでいいから頼むよ。

Gavin: Pleased to meet you.	ゲビン：はじめまして。
Monica: Pleased to meet you. So you're coming to Rachel's party tonight?	モニカ：はじめまして。あなたも今夜のレイチェルのパーティーに来るの？
Rachel: Oh no no no no no, Gavin can't, he already has plans, most likely with his mother.	レイチェル：あ、来ない、来ない、来ない。ゲビンは予定があるんだってさ、多分お母さんとね。
Gavin: Well I don't mind, I'll cancel. I would never miss my secretary's birthday. (leaves)	ゲビン：いや、そんなのキャンセルしますよ。秘書の誕生日パーティーに行かないわけにはいきませんからね。　（去る）
Rachel: Why did you invite him?? I can't stand that guy!	レイチェル：なんであんなやつ招待したのよ？？　もうあいつ耐えられない！

Rachel: I was faking it! Can't you tell when I'm being fake?	レイチェル：フェイクに決まってるじゃん！　私がフェイクする時ってわかるでしょ？
(A man walks by)	男がとおりかかる
Rachel: Hey, Mr Philips, nice suit!	レイチェル：フィリップさんどうも。いいスーツですね！
Monica: Right there! That was so fake!	モニカ：それよ！　明らかにフェイクよ！
Rachel: Shh!	レイチェル：しー！
[Scene: Rachel's birthday party]	[レイチェルの誕生日パーティー。]
Rachel: (to Monica) I still can't believe you invited Gavin. Allright, he is the last person I want to see.	レイチェル：（モニカに）　ゲビンが来るなんてほんと信じられない。最も会いたくないやつだわ。
Monica: Oh, you're welcome for the party. I'm glad you're having a good time.	モニカ：あら、パーティーへようこそ。お楽しみいただいてるみたいで嬉しいです。
Rachel: God, I hope he doesn't show up. Of course he's not gonna show up, the guy hates me.	レイチェル：ふん。あいつが現れないことを祈るわ。来るわけないわよね、あいつ私を嫌ってるもん。
Monica: Does he?	モニカ：そうなの？
Rachel: What?	レイチェル；え？
Monica: Maybe he's bothering you so much because he likes you. It's like in first grade when Skippy Langwild always pushed me on the playground because he secretly had a crush on me?	モニカ：もしかしたらあなたのことが好きだから、いろいろと意地悪してるのかもよ。ほら1年のときスキッピー・ラングウィルドが私が好きだから、校庭に押し倒したみたいに？
Rachel: Oh, Monica, you think Skippy liked you? Honey, all those buys had a bet to see if he can knock you over.	レイチェル：モニカ、スキッピーがあなたのこと好きだったと思ってるの？　みんなあなたを倒したいと思ってただけよ。
Molly: (with Emma in a basinet) She's out, I'm gonna take her home.	モリー：（ベットでエマを見ている）　寝たから家につれて帰りますね。
Rachel: Oh, ok, thank you. (Molly leaves) (to Monica) Do you see what all the guys see in her?	レイチェル：あ、ありがとう。　（モリーが去る）　（モニカに）　男達が魅力的に感じてるわけわかる？
Monica: Wouldn't kick her out of bed. (pause) No more Vodka for me! (put her glass down)	モニカ：彼女ならベットに侵入されても全然OKね。　（間）　もうウォッカはだめね！　（グラスを渡す）
(Joey comes over)	ジョーイがやってくる。
Joey: Hey Rach, so can I sing happy birthday to you now?	ジョーイ：レイチェル、ハッピーバースデー歌っていい？
Rachel: Yeah, sure!	レイチェル：うん、もちろん！
Joey: Oh ... (Starts to sing) Happy birth ... (sees Molly leaving) oh, see you later (runs after Molly)	ジョーイ：よーし…　（歌いだす）　ハッピーバスデー…　（モリーが帰るところなのに気づく）　また後で　（モリーを追いかける）
Monica: Hey Rach, somebody got you shoes!	モニカ：レイチェル、誰かあなたに靴くれたみたいよ！
Rachel: Oh, give me! (opens the box happily, then gets freaked and throws away the box, she and Mon jump up the couch)	レイチェル：お、貸して！　（幸せそうに箱を開けるが、びっくりして箱を投げ捨てる。レイチェルとモニカはソファーの上に飛び乗る。）
Phoebe: Be careful, be careful! These are my rat babies!	フィービー：気をつけて、気をつけて！　私のネズミの赤ちゃん！
Mike: Yeah. We have rat babies now.	マイク：あぁ、ネズミ飼ってるんだよね。
Rachel: Ahhhh, you brought rats to my birthday party?	レイチェル：もういや、私の誕生日パーティーにネズミ持ってきたの？
Monica: So this is what a stroke feels like.	モニカ：心臓発作ってこんな感じなのね。
Phoebe: I had to bring them! We killed their mother, they're our responsibility now. You know, they require constant care. You should know that, Rachel, you're a mother.	フィービー：連れてこざるをえなかったのよ！　彼らの母親を殺しちゃったんだもん、私達が育てなきゃ。赤ちゃんっていつでも見てなきゃいけないのよ。知ってるでしょ、レイチェルもお母さんなんだから。
Rachel: Are you comparing my daughter to a rat?	レイチェル：あなた私の娘とネズミを比べてるの？
Phoebe: No! Seven rats! I think we should take them home, we need feed them.	フィービー：違うよ！　7匹のネズミよ！　つれて帰らなきゃ、おなか減ってるみたい。
Rachel: whhh wait, you're gonna leave my party to take care of a box of rats?	レイチェル：待ってよ、ネズミの面倒見るためだけに私のパーティーから帰るわけ？
Phoebe: Well I'm sorry Rachel, but I'm not like you, ok? Not everyone can afford help. (she and Mike leave)	フィービー：ごめんね、レイチェル。でも私はあなたと違うのよ。あなたみたいに誰かが助けてくれるわけじゃないの。　（フィービーとマイクは去る）
(Ross gets out of the bathroom, sees Chandler)	ロスはトイレから出てきて、チャンドラーを見る。
Ross: Where the hell are Joey and Molly? I asked you to watch them.	ロス：ジョーイとモリーはどこ言ったんだ？　見てろって言ったじゃないか。
Chandler: (In a helium voice, holding a balloon) I'm sorry, I got a little occupied.	チャンドラー：（裏声で、風船を握りながら）　ごめんよ、ちょっと夢中になっちまった。
Ross: We have to stop them before something happens!	ロス：何かが起こる前に止めなきゃ！
Chandler: (still helium voice) Right behind you, big guy! (they both head for the door)	チャンドラー：（裏声で）　お前についてくぜ、ビックボーイ！　（2人はドアへと向かう）
[Scene: Ross's and Rachel's place, Molly and Joey are talking on the couch]	[ロスとレイチェルのアパート。モリーとジョーイはソファーの上で話している。]
Joey: So you see, Molly, what people don't understand is that acting is a discipline. It takes a lot of hard work.	ジョーイ：モリー、みんな分かってないみたいだけど、演技ってのは訓練なんだ。ほんと大変なんだよ。
Molly: So where did you study?	モリー：どこで勉強したの？
Joey: Oh, I didn't go to college.	ジョーイ：あぁ、大学には行かなかったんだ。
Molly: No, where did you study acting?	モリー：違うの。どこで演技を勉強したの？
Joey: Molly ... people don't study acting ...	ジョーイ:モリー…、演技なんて勉強するもんじゃないぜ…。
(Ross and Chandler walk in, Joey looks disappointed)	ロスとチャンドラーが入室、ジョーイはがっかりする。
Ross: Molly, ah, do you mind giving us just a minute?	ロス：モリー、ちょっとジョーイと話していい？
Molly: Sure, I'll go check on Emma.	モリー：うん、エマの面倒見てます。
Ross: Thanks.	ロス：ありがと。
(Molly gets up and walks away)	モリーは立ち上がり去っていく。
Joey: (upset) Will the stable boy never get the princess??	ジョーイ：（怒っている）　馬小屋の男はお姫様と付き合っちゃいけないのか？？
Ross: What do you think you're gonna do, have sex with her right here on my couch?	ロス：いったい何をする気だよ。このソファーの上でセックスでもする気か？
Joey: No ... the leather sticks to my ass. You know, this isn't fair. What makes you think that I'm just gonna sleep with her and then blow her off? Huh? Can't you guys open your minds to the possibility that I actally like her, and might want something real? (pause) Look, the truth is, I haven't felt this way about anyone since Rachel, ok? I didn't think I could ever love again.	ジョーイ：しないよ…。革が俺の尻にくっつくじゃんか。こんなのフェアじゃないよ。何で俺がモリーと寝て、ふるなんて思ってるんだよ？　俺が実際にモリーを好きになる可能性はないのか？　ちゃんとした関係に発展することはないのか？　（間）　ほんとをいうとな、こんな気持ちはレイチェル以来なんだ。俺はもう人を愛せないかもしれない。

Ross and Chandler: Come on! Joe!	ロスとチャンドラー：うそつけ！
Joey: Ok (admits)	ジョーイ：そうだな。　（認める）
(knock on door, Ross opens, it's a woman)	ノック音。ロスがドアを開けると女性が立っている。
Woman: Hi, is Molly here?	女：どうも。モリーはいますか？
Ross: Yeah, come on in. Molly?	ロス：はい、どうぞ入って。モリー？
Molly: (goes out of the room) Hey! Guys, this is Tabatha (they kiss on the lips in a romantic way). (to Ross) I'll see you tomorrow.	モリー：（部屋から出てくる）　みんな、こちらはタバナよ。　（2人はキスする）　（ロスに）　また明日きます。
Ross: Ok ... (they leave the room, long pause) Well, uh, Joey, I guess we have no problem.	ロス：OK…　（2人は去り、長い間が）　あの、ジョーイ。どうやら何も問題ないようだ。
Joey: It's like my favorite fairy tale come true! (Chandler looks at him) The princess, the stable boy and the lesbian!	ジョーイ：俺のお気に入りのおとぎ話みたい！　（チャンドラーはジョーイを見る）　お姫様と馬小屋の男とレズビアン！
[Scene: Phoebe's place, Phoebe and Mike enter]	[フィービーのアパート。フィービーとマイクが入室。]
Phoebe: Ok, ok, you start preparing the formula and I start changing the box and then we gotta put them straight to bed.	フィービー：さてと早くいろいろ済ませて箱を替えて、寝かしつけなきゃ。
Mike: Hey, when did we become one of those couples whose lives revolve around their rats?	マイク：ねぇ、これからネズミのために生きていく気？
Phoebe: Well, you know what, they're our responsibility now.	フィービー：だって私達の責任なのよ。
Mike: Ok, fine, these rats are our responsibility. What happens when they mate and there are hundreds of them?	マイク：あぁ、こいつらは僕らの責任だ。でもこいつらが交尾して何百ものネズミができたらどうするのよ。
Phoebe: Mate? They're all brothers and sisters.	フィービー：交尾？　兄弟よ。
Mike: Yeah - not such a problem with rats. No, they're more of a "love the one you're with" kind of animals.	マイク：あっそ。ネズミにとってはそんなの問題じゃないんだよ。彼らは一緒にいるヤツは愛しちゃう動物なんだ。
Phoebe: No. (opens the box) wh - get off your sister! Oh my god, what are we gonna do? We have 7 rats. So what if each of them has 7 rats? And then each of those have 7 rats? That's like ... (starts counting with her fingers) That's math I can't even do! What are we gonna do?	フィービー：そんなことないわよ。　（箱を開ける）　ちょっと！　妹の上に乗っかっちゃだめよ！　どうしよう。7匹もいるのよ。これじゃ…　（指を折りながら数える）　私が計算できないほどよ！
Mike: Well, I know this is gonna sound crazy, but, we could not let the box of rats ruin our lives.	マイク：あのさ、バカみたいに聞こえるかもしれないけど、一箱のネズミのために僕らの人生を台無しにすることないよ。
Phoebe: Yeah, ok. I guess you're right. Allright, so we should just give them away. But to nice families, with children, and reduced fat wheat thins. They're Bob's favorites.	フィービー：わかったわ。あなたが正しいわ。みんなを諦めなきゃいけないのね。でもいい家族に預けるの。子供がいる家族ね。油分の少ない小麦をくれる家族に。ボブはこういうのが大好きだったの。
Mike: It's gonna be ok.	マイク：大丈夫だよ。
Phoebe: You must think I'm crazy.	フィービー：私って頭がおかしいと思うでしょ。
Mike: No, I think you're sweet.	マイク：そんなことないよ。優しいと思う。
Phoebe: Good. It's just so hard, it's hard for me to ... let them go. I guess it just brings back memories, you know, from ... when I gave birth to my brother's triplets and I had to give them up. (Mike is shocked) I haven't told you about that yet, have I?	フィービー：ありがと。ほんと辛いわ。みんなと別れなきゃいけないなんて。きっと私の弟の三つ子を産んで、手放さなきゃいけなかった思い出がよみがえるからなのね。　（マイクはショックを受ける）　まだ言ってなかったわね。
[Scene: Rachel's party, Rachel is on the balcony, Monica goes there also]	[レイチェルのパーティー。レイチェルはベランダにいて、モニカもベランダへ行く。]
Monica: Hey!	モニカ：おっす！
Rachel: Hi. Thanks for the party, honey. Should I help you clean up?	レイチェル：おす。パーティーありがとうね。片付け手伝おうか？
Monica: No way! You had your party, now I have mine! Is everything alright?	モニカ：だめよ！　あんたがパーティー楽しんだんだら、私も楽しまなきゃ！　大丈夫？
Rachel: Yeah, I just get a little bummed when my birthday's over.	レイチェル：うん。ただ誕生日パーティーが終わったからちょっとヘコんでるだけ。
Monica: Well, at least you have one thing to be happy about. That jerk Gavin from your office didn't show up (Gavin shows up at the balcony windows).	モニカ：でも1個いいことがあったわね。あんたの職場のやな男、ゲビンが来なかったじゃん。　（ゲビンがベランダの入り口に来る。）
Rachel: Mmm hmm.	レイチェル：そうね。
Gavin: Yeah, I hate him. (comes in to the balcony)	ゲビン：あぁ、僕もあいつはきらいだ。　（ベランダに出てくる）
Monica: Oh, we weren't talking about you. (pause) No, no way to recover.	マイク：あなたの話してるんじゃないのよ。　（間）　だめ、いいわけできないわ。
Rachel: No.	レイチェル：手遅れね。
(Monica goes back inside)	モニカは中に入っていく。
Gavin: Nice party.	ゲビン：いいパーティーだね。
Rachel: Well, it was, and you would have seen it if you didn't showed up at (looks at his watch) ... 9:30?? God! Oh, this party was lame ...	レイテYル：そうね。もう少し早くくればよかったのにね。だってもう…　（ゲビンの時計を見る）　9時半？　つまらないパーティーね。
Monica: (from inside) Again, you're welcome.	モニカ：（中から）　どういたしまして。
Gavin: Look, I'll just give you this and go.	ゲビン：これを受け取ってほしい。
Rachel: Oh, you bought me a present! Why?	レイチェル：私にプレゼントくれるの？　何で？
Gavin: Well, let me explain how birthday parties usually work. There are presents, and a cake, perhaps a fourth or fifth person. Ok, I ... got you the present to make up for being such a jerk to you earlier.	ゲビン：普通は誕生日パーティーがどうなるのか説明しよう。プレゼントがあって、ケーキがあって、いろんな人が来てだな…。その…、君に酷いことをしたから埋め合わせのためにプレゼントを持ってきたんだ。
Rachel: Aww. Well, ok, well that's very nice. And you wrote a card (opens the card). "From Gavin"	レイチェル：あら、ありがと、優しいのね。カードまで書いてくれたのね。　（カードを開ける）　"ゲビンより"
Gavin: I really mean it.	ゲビン：ほんとだよ。
Rachel: (opens the present, it's a green scarf) Awww, awww, it's beautiful.	レイチェル：（プレゼントを開けると緑のスカーフである）　うわぁ、綺麗ね。
Gavin: You don't mind? Let me. (puts it around her neck) Well, what do you know, it fits!	ゲビン：僕がかけていいかな？　（レイチェルの首にスカーフをかける）　うわ、ぴったりだ！
Rachel: See, Gavin, you're capable of being a nice guy. Why did you give me such a hard time?	レイチェル：ゲビン、頑張ればいい人になれるんじゃない。何で私にはいじわるするのよ？
Gavin: I'm not sure.	ゲビン：わからないよ。
Rachel: Well Monica seems to think it's because you have feelings for me.	レイチェル：モニカはあなたが私を好きだからだと思ってるみたいだけど。
Gavin: I do have feelings for you.	ゲビン：あぁ、君のことが好きだよ。
Rachel: You do?	レイチェル：え？　ほんと？
Gavin: Yes, I feel that you are a little annoying.	ゲビン：人をイラつかせるところなんかが素敵だ。
Rachel: See? Why, Gavin, why? Right when I'm about to change my opinion of you, you go and you ... (he kisses her) and you do that ... (they kiss again)	レイチェル：ほら、ゲビン、なんでよ？　私があなたに対する見方を変えようとするたび、いつも…　（ゲビンはレイチェルにキスをする）　しかもこういうことするし…　（2人はまたキスしだす。）
[cut to Ross from his appartment, holding baby toys and is shocked to see them kissing]	[ロスがアパートから見ているシーンに切り替わる。ロスは赤ちゃんのおもちゃを抱きながら、キスを見てショックを受けている。]

Phoebe: (walks in) Hey	フィービー：（入室）　おっす。
Chandler: (normal voice) Hi	チャンドラー：（普通の声で）　おっす。
Phoebe: Listen, I think I've left something here.	フィービー：ねぇ、私、忘れ物したと思うんだけど。
Chandler: Oh, well someone left this (shows a green jacket). This is yours?	チャンドラー：誰かがこれ忘れてったよ。　（緑のジャケットを見せる）　これ君の？
Phoebe: (likes the jacket) No, but I like it. I think I left one of my rat babies.	フィービー：（ジャケットが気に入る）　違うわ。でもこれ好き。忘れ物ってネズミの赤ちゃんなの。
Chandler: Oh, uh, well, I haven't seen it but if I do I'll let you know.	チャンドラー：あ、見てないけど、見たら教えるよ。
Monica: Oh my god! Rat baby! Rat baby! Rat baby! (screams from another room)	モニカ：うわ！　ネズミの赤ちゃんよ！　ネズミの赤ちゃんよ！　ネズミの赤ちゃん！　（部屋から飛び出してくる）
Phoebe: (realizes) Ooh, maybe that's him!	フィービー：（気づく）　あ、きっとあいつだ！
